Character Education
At Ghost Hill Infant & Nursery School we recognise the importance of character education to support our children to develop positive personal strengths, which will empower them through their school life and beyond.
Our focus character virtues for the academic year 2025-2026 are:
- Curiosity
- Honesty
- Teamwork
- Community Awareness
At Ghost Hill we believe that to be successful in embedding these character virtues we need to intrinsically link and embed them into all lived school experiences and as such we model these character virtues both during everyday interactions and during explicit teaching.
To support us with our journey and make clear our aims, each subject leader has sought to demonstrate links between their curriculum subject and our focus character virtues; these links can be seen on each ‘Curriculum Map’ where specific character virtues are highlighted in red.
